Tomorrow is Thanksgiving…
my favorite foods, all together.
This year I won’t need to make my own gravy and bring it to dinner so Hubby can smother his potatoes and turkey without using the gravy at dinner that is half wine. Neither of us are fond of wine-flavored gravy, and I make a mean gravy!
I’ll be at the in-laws…should be interesting…
Hubby is the only one in the military…
I’ll be receiving a lot of those “pity” looks and questions.
I don’t feel like a victim, why do people insist on treating me like one…I certainly don’t act like one.
Those at dinner have no idea why anyone would volunteer to serve their country.
At Easter, someone snidely asked me “but is it worth it” and I said “yes, yes it is”
That question, and also the way it was asked, annoyed me. I’m not in the mood for political discussions…or confrontations…just food and football.

I'm staying home for exactly that reason.
I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving and it sticks to food and football.
...just food and football.
As it should be. I certainly hope that's the way it will be!
I'll be a bit premature here: Happy Thanksgiving, TripleE!
Happy Thanksgiving! Have a safe trip!
I got to this message late (that's what being on a farm in MO with only dialup internet access will do to you), but I know that feeling. A lot of people from back home do the same thing to me. It's bad enough when it is close friends that act this way, and it's downright awful when it is family...
Hope everything went OK.
